“And hopefully less vomiting, but it could go either way.” Madison laughed, “You don’t look any different to most people, but you never know what runs through peoples minds, especially kids. They come out with the strangest comments, maybe in their minds you own a fire breathing dragon who could kill them in a heartbeat.”
“Hopefully.” Vendetta teased. The idea of having a child when she was older crossed her mind, but she was still young, and if her mindset didn’t change when she did become of age, there would be no kids for her. “That would be awesome. I mean, not the killing children part, but the dragon part. I mean, how cool would that be? A fire breathing dragon.”
“I’m all for kids doing whatever they want, but I think I’d freak if that happened. It would be like dealing with a drunk, but I guess if you can do one you got the other sorted. I’m sure they don’t despise you, maybe they’re just intimidated?”
"It’d be exactly like dealing with a drunk, but more high pitched gigging and less stumbling.” Vendetta joked and let out a breathy laugh. “Eh, it doesn’t bother me. I doubt it’s that, I mean, I look pretty harmless. Right?”
“I don’t understand people who don’t like kids, I mean kids love me. Being a parent should be easy!”
“Parenting probably sucks if you have to deal with a child running around like a chicken with their head cut off all the time. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids, but they seem to despise me.”
Her words of wisdom made her lips twist into a smile. Although that sweet, kind, smile quickly subsided and was replaced by a frown. Normally, she’d forced herself to smile to hide her real feelings, but this time, there’s no point into doing such. “Your grandfather can undo them. But unfortunately, clearly, it is impossible.”
“He can’t undo the pain he made you go through, but he’s more than capable of ending the games.” Vendetta sighed, the situation just made her feel sick. She’d watched the games every year, and never understood why the people always found watching children kill other children amusing. “The only thing that will happen will be a rebellion, someone is going to do something and they are going to stand up for themselves and say enough is enough. Maybe, if he ended the games now, he won’t have to deal with that.”
“Apparently a lot of people look up to her, but she’s really not all that cool. If you lived with her, you’d understand why." He chuckled a bit. "Nah, I’ve never seen one. It’s kind of like they’re a mystical creature or something even though I know they’re not.”
"Really? Then you should come to four with me sometime. I know a small part of the beach where they just all swim together. It’s kind of away from the main part though, so it’ll probably just be you and me there. I don’t think many people know about it.” Vendetta told him with a smile. “They’re awesome. Swimming with them is even cooler.”
Once she walked off to the bathroom, he began rummaging through her closest, his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth as he tried to find the best combination of things to prove his point. Throwing the clothes his picked out on her bed, he smiled victoriously as he realized that what he put together really wasn’t that bad. “Is this good enough for you?!" He called to her, waiting for her to come in and judge his picks.
She danced back into her bedroom, though deep down she was fearing that he would make her wear something ridiculous. "Wow…” She grinned wide as she noticed what he’d put together. “That’s, honestly, not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s actually kind of cute. I like it!” She walked further into the room and over to her bed. “You may not know how to do make-up, but you sure know how to put together an outfit.”
