Why should I apologize for the
M O N S T E R
I’ve become when
no one apologized for
making me this way?
“Can’t see a problem with any of that.” He agreed. “You might wanna get a wee bit more control before you go ahead and try anything though…last thing you need is to loose control on the battlefield.”He’d need to figure out a way to help her train…
“That’s true, chances are I’ll end up doing something extremely stupid and up killing all of us in the process.” Though it was a horrible thought, she still chuckled. “That would be bad.”

“And direct one straight to its target with pinpoint accuracy.” He agreed.Yes, he could think of many ways she could be useful to them…but he wouldn’t force her to. That just caused trouble. Thats what every superhero story made very clear.
“I have these powers, I might as well use them for good. Especially during times like this, if someone has the ability to do all these things, they need to put their powers to good use.” She shrugged. “I’m willing to help in whatever way possible. I’ve got nothing to loose, and plus, it’ll help me learn to control them.”

“Depends. Who knows how your abilities work…maybe you can only move things around you, not yourself…only one way to find out…”Well now that she mentioned it…
“Actually…come to think of it, if I had your abilities, I’d be using them in fights too. Redirecting bullets, rockets and grenades…”
“I’m not ready to jump off a building just yet.” She chuckled and shook her head. “I thought about that…” Vendetta walked over to her side table and set the knife down beside the lamp. “You guys could use my powers, I could help…you know? Like you said, I could pull a knife out of the enemy without even getting close.”

“Move things around. Pull the TV remote to me from the shelf…rearrange my books…really, just doing anything that I would normally do with my hands.”Her words rang true. The Fandom Wars were full of references to people doing incredible things…all now considered myths, or propoganda for the many sides involved in the Wars.
“You wouldn’t do anything extraordinary? Just everyday things you’d do with your hands?” She wasn’t judging, really, she asked out of pure curiosity. “I’d get on a swing set, swing as high as the swing could go, and jump off, only instead of hitting the ground I stay up in the air. Fly, even. I think I can do that, if I can lift objects I can lift my body and fly…right?”

“You’re a knife thrower. How would you like to be able to sink your blade in a target and bring it right back to you in the blink of an eye? Now you can, I would think…”Well obviously, she’d just done it a moment ago…
“Keep practicing, I guess…I mean, you got this ability…might as well use it.”
“Is it bad to play around with it?” Vendetta grinned, reaching her hand out that wasn’t holding the knife, palm facing up. She set the knife, handle facing up, the point laying in her palm, and she made it twirl. She couldn’t feel the tip digging into the middle of her palm, it was almost floating above her hand as it twirled. “I like this…”

“Your instinctive control is impressive…” He agreed, looking at the hole himself, tracing it with his finger.“And if it got any closer, do you really think I’d have let it hit me? I’m a soldier. This isn’t the first knife I’ve dodged in my lifetime.”
He turned back to her, watching random objects floating around.
“You learning to control it?”
“That is true.” She nodded, figuring she didn’t have to worry about hurting him. “I am, actually, I can feel it though, like it’s building up inside of me. Especially when I’m upset. I’m not sure if I can control it fully yet, but I’m working on it.” Vendetta glanced around the room, causing the objects floating around to drop to their original spots. “I could have some fun with this though.”

“Typical Capitol scientists…poking at everything they can with no clue what the HELL its going to do.”He crossed his arms and frowned in dislike of the so-called “scientists”.
“I’m amazed they managed to pull this off…then again, maybe it takes an idiot to do something so stupid it works…”
“I would of never thought mixing chemicals would be able to give me the ability to do this, then again, mutts are real. That’s almost what I’m like now, right?” She shrugged, laughing a little. “It’s amazing…but it’s scary too. Imagine what would of happened if that knife hadn’t of missed you by…” She glanced over at the hole in the wall. “It hit no more than an inch away from your head, Deejay. That’s creepy.”

Something whizzed past his ear and imbedded itself in the wall. A knife from the looks of it.SHIT…
“Hey, easy Ven…I’m not going to tell anyone, I promise.”
Who would believe him anyway? Oh, yeah, Vendetta Snow can move things with her mind. SURE and her dad can turn into a pure white cat.
“What the hell happened?”
Vendetta nodded and took in a deep breath. “Sorry.” She reached her hand up and flicked her wrist, the knife instantly flying toward her hand. “I…” She grasped it by the handle. “I let the capitol experiment on me. They said no harm would be done, that the chemicals wouldn’t hurt me, but they mixed the wrong ones and…I woke up sick one day, the day after every time I coughed glass shattered. I figured out what was going on fairly quick.”

“Long enough.”Telekinesis…How…
Forced mutation, had to be. The marks on her arms…injection points from evolution accelerators. And the pupil discooration…artifical gene sequences?
SHIT…just…SHIT.
She’d been wearing a lot of long sleeved shirts to hide the marks lately, but it was one of those times where she got too hot and decided to change into a simple night gown. “You can’t tell a soul, Deejay! Do you understand me?!” She stood from her bed, panic filled her. Maybe they could use her powers for good, maybe they needed someone to blow enemies away with just their mind. “I made a big mistake letting them do this to me…”
