“Vendetta Snow! Do not play games with me and avoid the question. I want a straight answer, now.”
“Yes, I’m well aware,” she nodded as Vendetta went on. She ended up closing her eyes, fearing what could’ve happened to her daughter. “Did he have a weapon or anything else?” Not that it mattered. “Honestly, even if it doesn’t, I don’t care. I’d rather you be here alive and safe.”
"He had a pocket knife but he never pulled it out on me, I could see it hanging out his side pocket though. I thought he would of pulled it out.” Vendetta sighed, running a hand through her blonde locks. “I pulled my butterfly knife out on him, Momma. Did you see him after I was done with him? I completely snapped.”
“Vendetta Snow! Do not play games with me and avoid the question. I want a straight answer, now.”
“I do believe you Vendetta I just…I have to be sure.” Sometimes she felt as if her daughter didn’t know what she was getting into and as her mother it was Athena’s job to protect her. “Do you want to tell me what happened?”
“Yeah, I will.” She nodded slowly, beginning to think through the previous events. “Well, first off, you know how being a Snow puts us in a constant danger, if there’s someone here that doesn’t like us and sees one of us, you never know what they are going to do. I went on a walk, you know that, and someone grabbed my shoulder. I happened to move out of the way before he could do any harm, he called me foul things and I just snapped…he did lay his hands on me though, does that count as self defense?”

“N-No, they couldn’t stabilize him.” For a moment she was afraid of Vendetta’s reaction-what it might be. She was just about to comfort her daughter when she had her little outburst. “It didn’t sound like self defense when you were talking about it earlier.”
“I wouldn’t just hurt someone for no reason, Momma!” She felt like crying, but held back the tears. “Don’t tell me you don’t believe me. I did what I had to do, okay?”
