“Good actually,” He said, looking between his daughter and Ven “Really good, but what about you? hows life?”
“Better than ever.” She smiled over at the little girl a moment before looking back up at him. “Rebelled until they kicked me out, and then, of course, moved here to four. I always loved it here. What’s her name?”
“I’m sorry,” He whispered, “I was gonna tell you but it was all rushed and, we wanted minimum of people knowing, it was just easier that way. I’m sorry,”
“Yeah, it’s over now. Doesn’t matter.” She lifted her hand up and gave it a quick wave as if to dismiss the topic. “How have you been? I missed ya’.”
“Uh, hey Ven,” He said, “Me and Bex went to get married in private, then this little one came along and, we didn’t see much sense in coming back. Only close friends knew where we were,”
"Close friends?” Vendetta rose a brow at the two. “I wasn’t?” She wanted to congratulate him and tell him it was good that he was happy and that he was married and had a beautiful baby, but really, it was probably far to late for that. Instead, she decided to get upset, which may of not been the best choice. “I thought you dropped off the face of the earth…”
